Executive Director, Rosalie Barnhouse,
B.A., E.C.E., has been a dedicated educator of young children since 1984. For more than twenty
years she has held educational positions in day care centers, nursery schools, Kindergarten

Daily Journals
Parents are supplied with a day book or journal in which their child's day is captured in a short note. Parents also
use the day book to communicate with their child's teacher. Once the book is complete, the parents keep the book as

Milestone Evaluations
To facilitate and support the children's development towards their full potential at each developmental level, each child is
evaluated according to appropriate milestones for their developmental stage. The milestones are analyzed to determine the

Field Trips
Children enrolled in the Barnhouse Home Child Care enjoy field trips whenever they can be arranged as part of their
curriculum. Field Trips are an important part of a child’s education. During a field trip children can experience
their world by taking hands on approach to learning. ...more
KinderMusik
The Barnhouse Home Child Care Centre encourages parents to contribute to the curriculum by voting to have the children
attend Kindermusik classes. Parents also assist with the transportation of children to and from classes by volunteering
for bus duty. Kindermusik classes are well designed to meet the developmental needs of toddlers and preschoolers.
